Nests |

Coconut Nests
We hung 6 of these not knowing if they'd be used or not. Cuban Melodious
are nesting in this one, and some gouldians seem interested in others.

|

Fountain Bath
The birds like bathing in the stream of this sea otter fountain, but
it's a bit of a hassle to tilt over and refill each day. We'll probably
get rid of it in favor of some type of smaller bath that can be accessed
from the outside through a little door in the screen. |

Gouldian Normals
Gouldians just before going in.

|

Molting & Juvenile Gouldians
All the gouldians were molting their first month or two in the aviary,
very lethargic until their feathers grew back. |

Red Cheeked Cordon Bleus
The bird on the right went in a little sick, possibly due to his
age and being double dosed with scatt, but perked up after a day or
two.

|

Gouldian Cuban & Zosterops
The flighty little Zosterops was the first to explore all areas
of the aviary.
|

Canaries
Half German roller half Belgium waterslager on the left, half roller
half gloster on the right. The left one has chicks now, not sure how
many or who's the father. (We lose control in an aviary.)

Mix
From left to right: society/banglese, two gouldians (molting), male
& female cuban melodious, european goldfinch.

Another Mix
From left to right: European goldfinch, two gouldians, male Cuban

Osama
This hermit crab wandered into the orchid area during construction.
He's in the largest Florida Tree Snail shell I've seen, about 3".
Like the other Osama, he's been hiding in a hole and we don't know if
he's alive.
